About Allan Crawford

Allan Crawford, Founder & President of AC consulting has worked in the areas of knowledge management, research, strategic planning and education for over twenty-five years.  He is co-director of the Master’s in KM program at Cal State Northridge where he has also taught on Leadership and Innovation. Crawford's background is in geology and he holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin.

Crawford's work experience includes the energy industry, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, city government and Veteran’s hospitals.  He is currently the Bicycle Coordinator for the City of Long Beach and an active volunteer for the bicycle advocacy organization Bikeable Communities. Crawford is an accomplished videographer and professional photographer with his work appearing in a wide variety of publications.

A passionate advocate for active living, Crawford has been cycling most of his life.  He grew up in a small Midwestern town and then moved to Minneapolis where riding a bike was what you did to get around. Crawford has cycled all over the world, won five national championships racing tandem with his wife, and worked closely with the City of Long Beach to help make the city one of the most bike friendly urban cities in the US.
